We had an image of a bride that we had wanted to create for so long, a regal royal beauty touched by the nature of the great outdoors. We chose to combine these two worlds in the gorgeous setting of West Dean House, a wedding venue that opened its grand doors in 2016 to say ‘I do’.
Our inspiration began from our love of Dolce & Gabbana, their shows often feature beautiful hair creations encrusted with jewels and flowers entwined into effortless hair styles. To enhance our models’ fabulous bone structure we created a high woven bun, smoothed back off the face and encased with cherry blossom. Brunette hair always looks fabulous with added shine on camera so we used Davines more inside shimmering mist to add shine.
The makeup look was youthful, mixing soft copper and golds for the eyes, dewy fresh skin and rasberry pinks on the lips. We needed colours that popped to combine with the jewelled hair creations by Cherished Vintage. Abby from Cherished Vintage makes incredible designs from delicate woven organic pieces to hair crowns fit for a queen. We love the bespoke service she provides for our brides.
The fabulous Nicci from Adorlee captured the essence of the shoot perfectly. We simply adore Adorlee, as makeup artists the colour palette we choose for weddings is to bring out the brides natural beauty. Nicci brings those colours and moments alive so her photos really are a true representation of how your day looks and feels. We wanted very clean natural lit photos to show the subtle use of highlight and shimmer on our stunning model.
Meera from Full Bloom created an abundance of wild foliage and roses and Tartfi cakes created a towering masterpiece which suited West Deans decadent interior. The dress was a slinky heavily beaded Maggie Sottero style from award winning Creatiques, we loved the way the delicate beading glimmered under the light.
